Wanted - Female Rugby Players!

Ok, any female rugby players. Are you looking to get involved in a sport this year? Are you looking for a team full of fun, social women (well - we think we are) from all walks of life?

The Palmerston Women's team 'The Sweethearts' are looking for new women to join the existing team, made up of mothers, students, Defence, Ichthys Project, even netballers and a few Kiwis.

It is an exciting time for women's rugby in Australia, with two forms of the game, Rugby 7s and 15s, now being played in schools and clubs across the country.

The success of Rugby 7s in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio saw a global growth of the game, and nowhere stronger than in Australia.

15s Rugby really is the sport for every 'body'. 15 players play at a time per team, each of which have specific duties; there is a position for every body type in 15s rugby.

So, if you're keen to be a part of the team, please contact women's co-ordinators Cassie 0413 979 498 or Bec 0429 695 115 or check out our Facebook page: Palmerston Rugby Union Club - Women's 1st XV.
