Seniors Update - Crocs vs Souths
Well a fortnight has come and gone A Grade has been competitive in both games but has not managed to get any competition points and B Grade secured a draw (but should have been a win) and a loss. So the results themselves have not been the best.
The highlight of the fortnight was however the home game against South's where we played for the inaugural "Slugger Cup, a game between Palmerston and Souths where both clubs remember their mate Adrian Graham.  The game was closer than the score line suggested.  Half time saw the score at 17-10 and we were desperately unlucky not to score under the posts in the dying seconds of the half. A dominate scrum and good field position during the second half was not enough and unfortunately an inability to score saw the final score creep out to 27 to 10. This result should show that with work we can compete against anyone as Souths's will finish the end of the first round undefeated.
It was great to see the big crowd down at Moulden and Adrian's family there to present the cup to the eventual winners South's who will temporally hold the cup till we win it in the next round.

A big shout out to Ayrton Deo, Jackson Eagleton and Thomas Rowe  - all three boys were part of last year's Under 17s and made their senior debuts this fortnight,  They join Henry Degoumois who also played in last years U17s as juniors who have graduated into seniors.  A special mention to Thomas Roe who against Casuarina also made his A Grade debut.  Thomas was picked in the starting side at prop and acquitted himself well. Hopefully a start to long 1st grade career with the crocs.
