Under 7 Red Season Review - by Kevin Humphries, U7 Red Coach
After what was a bit of a slow and at times wayward start to the season, the basis of a fantastic team formed around the dedicated U7 Red players that remained, each of them with their own style, skills and sensitivities but all with a great passion and eagerness to compete, help and learn  both on and off the field.
A great and competitive rapport developed with the U7 Blue Team which at times could rival the highest levels of rugby but was always tempered with respect and friendship that was nurtured so well by Sarah and the rest of the support team at Palmerston Rugby.   For me personally the season was made when I found out that one of my boys used me, "Coach" for the subject of a talk at school not long after the season started.  That's what Rugby's about, us old Front Row Forwards passing on a few pieces of wisdom to the young whippers' and they take them in and pass them on.
Thank you and all the best for those that move on, for the rest that are back next year, I'll be back and "it's around the goal post for those that drop the ball".  Finally a special thanks to Darryn (team manager) for all your help (and my water bottle when I was a little hoarse).
