Under 5 Season Review - by Tracey Reid, U5 Manager

Last week saw our Crocs defeat Casuarina 6-4 Tries.  Great work Junior Crocs.  We had our full team last week with the return of Cooper Radlin who performed very well!

Cooper Radlin enjoys training but has been unable to attend many of our games until last week.  Thanks for coming along Cooper and having fun with the rest of the team.

Izzy Taylor has performed well throughout her first year in rugby with her confidence and skills growing each week. Keep up the good work Izzy.

Peyton Reid has also come a long way since her first game where after the first 5 minutes she got tagged, then burst into tears and didn't know what to do.  Peyton is now a strong kicker at the kick off, now runs forward up the field, isn't frightened to make a tag and last week scored 2 tries for her efforts.

Zeb Holt has a background in rugby union.  He has 2 older brothers playing rugby and has practically been brought up our home ground.  Zeb has featured as the most consistent try scorer for the season. Last week Zeb racked up 3 tries.  Zeb's skills continue to develop along with a strong determination.  He will be a strong player in years to come.

Alex McKenzie has taken to the field this year like a duck to water.  Alex has 'family' (Robbie) in the business (Rugby).  We think there are some private tuition sessions occurring outside of regular training hours.  Alex has come along in leaps and bounds and follows Zeb closely with scoring tries.  He now runs forward confidently and palms off the opposition without hesitation. He's a force to be reckoned with.

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Cody Akers for committing to coaching our Junior Crocs this year.  Without Cody's commitment and patience to our team, our kids wouldn't have progressed to where they have.  It's sometimes a tiresome task when the kids are tired and don't want to listen or do as they're asked, but 9/10 times, Cody has overcome these challenges.  It shows when the kids take the field on game night.

A special mention to Casuarina Cougars who turned up week in and week out.  Without their consistency we wouldn't have come as far as we have.  Thanks Casuarina.

We should be very proud of our kids' achievements for the year no matter how big or small.  Each of our team members has had their individual challenges throughout the season, which has led to great outcomes for each and every one of them.  We are so very proud of our Junior Crocs and would like to see everyone back next year.  GO PALMY CROCS!!!
