Palmerston Crocs Netball Club
Round eleven and twelve was one of the most successful to date, for the 2014 season. A grade winning both games convincingly as reported from the Clubs Head Coach, Penny Shearer.

'A Grade did well to secure a thirteen goal win over Waratahs in round eleven. A solid second and third quarter set the win up through strong defensive work and accurate shooting. Waratahs changed their shooting combinations a few times in an attempt to combat Crocs strong defence. Although this worked well for them in the first few minutes of the last quarter, Crocs worked hard to maintain their intensity with a successful finish. Accurate shooting and strong positioning by Megan Craufurd gave the centre court a solid target while new recruit Steph Pye had a great impact on the game in WD, combining well with centre Kim Schofield.'

A confident Crocs team went into round twelve and defended Tigers by a credible amount with shooters rarely missing an opportunity to score. An impressive defensive end and centre court ensured another victory for the Club. A now well-formed A grade side is a respected group of players in the Darwin Netball competition.

A Reserve is the primary feeder team for A grade with player combinations changing weekly. 'Round eleven saw A res go down to Waratahs, but there we're some very positive outcomes for the team. Many skills focused on at training are starting to translate onto the court come game day and it is simply a matter of combing these skills into full 15 minute quarter performances. A standout performer in her A res debut was Kerry McColl. Working tirelessly across the court in both attack and defence her vision and feeding into the circle was integral in keeping Crocs on the scoreboard.'

Crocs have two teams in Division one and they came up against each other in round eleven. Crocs Purple took out the win by two goals over Crocs Teal with a stand out game from Lauren Kamid who has moved into the defensive end, due to team changes at the start of the season.

Dale Blewitt coach for Crocs Teal reports, 'it was a really exciting and close game; one of the better match up's the two teams have had all season. Thank you to Elle, Jenny, and Jill for filling in when the team was down on players. - a great game, a good sign of things to come'.

Crocs Purple Team Captain, De Kamid is also extremely happy with her team's performance this season and reports the following,' A big thank you to Kelly and Jenny from div two for filling in , they both did a great job. The team is now looking forward to next week's game against top ranked Falcons side'.

Division two also has two teams represented by Crocs, Teal and Purple. As reported by Coach, player Lisa Picone for Crocs Purple; 'round twelve saw the two Crocs team meet, with Crocs Purple winning a hard fought game against our own. It turned into quite a physical game with two inexperience umpires. Defence at both ends was very strong, and there was no room for error down the Teal goal ring with Jill Letton claiming almost every rebound. Fun game, good work everyone. 37-22. Crocs Teal is co-coached by Emma Horton and Rachelle Mc Millan.

Crocs division three team shows great improvement each week after moving up a division from 2013. With only a couple of wins under their belt, this team shows support to each other each week and continues to demonstrate they are a competitive side in their division. Nikita Gilbert, one of the youngest players at the Club is currently in the top ten for the DNA best and fairest in her very first year playing at a senior level. This team is led by Team Captain Brie Hartley and Vice-Captain Shannon Ravon.

Players in the top ten for their division for the Darwin Netball Association Best and Fairest. In no particular order, Shaneen Tilmouth, Amanda Wilson, Nicole Buntine, Lauren Kamid and Nakita Gilbert.
